There are certain parts of the chair tie that I am fairly familiar with now, having been tied up about three times in a chair, and also having watched multiple chair ties – the harness that binds the chest and shoulders to the back of the chair, the ropes that allow the hands to be crossed and relaxed, the ropes that encircle the ankles and often bends the legs back at a forty-five degree angle and then are secured to the bottom of the chair, and the ropes that wrap around the knees to keep the look nice and tight. The only rope that I slightly abhor is the crotch rope, which is never tied on me for the same reason. Uncle M always makes sure that the girls are comfortable with where rope is going, as different people will have different comfort levels.
Of course, there is always the snickering joke – “can you get out from that, Anna?” Uncle M always asks before the camera is switched on. My answer? I don’t even need to say anything, just roll my eyes and that is pretty much commonly understood as a “no…”. I will admit I have tried many times to get out of a tie – including picking at a knot with my toes and pulling out rope from a seemingly-loose knot. Of course, I never really get anywhere – Uncle M just seems to like to leave me something to play with while I am sitting there and the camera is flashing, probably because I can’t really sit still for very long and must fidget, and really, how much can one fidget where there are yards of rope wrapped around? Oh well, still I try
