Anna Speaks of the Hogtie

I have posted an essay Anna wrote for me some time back on her thoughts of being hogtied.  Interesting read.

What can I say about the hogtie?  Besides “mmmm… my favorite”, that is.  This tie is by far the most comfortable for me, in part because lying down means less circulation problems as the blood does not need to travel up for great distances, and in part because I enjoy lying down during a photo shoot to sitting or standing.  Hogties, I find, also allows for the most natural posing, perhaps because the comfortableness of the position makes model relax more than chair ties or other ties that involve either standing or sitting.       

Like the chair tie, hog ties vary greatly depending on the surface the tie takes place on.  On my first shoot, my first hog tie was a western-themed cowgirl tie, which involved me being tied on a fairly hard mat with hemp rope.  My second hogtie that same day took place first on a leather sofa, which made for a very sticky and somewhat uncomfortable tie, especially since I am not too fond personally of leather sofa.  From there on, I was transferred by one of the helpers onto a wooden surface, which was surprisingly more comfortable than the squishy sofa.  At another shoot, I was tied with my calves and feet up a short pole while lying on a wooden plank cart, which was very comfortable, especially with a pillow under my chest to alleviate some of the stress from the stiff surface.  Then, very recently, I was hog tied on a fairly supportive bed mattress, which, of course, was very comfortable and easy to work with.  I think in general the surface for a hogtie does not have to be particularly soft for the tie to be as comfortable as possible, but that the surface must provide adequate support for the model, just as the chair or stool where the model is seated for a chair tie must support both the weight and the upper torso and back of the model for the tie to be comfortable. 

Another thing I love about the hog tie is that it leaves a lot of creativity for the model, the bondage artist, and the photographer.  Because the surface upon which the model lies upon for a hog tie is generally large, the bondage artist has a lot leeway with how to tie the model, whether it be to the surface that the model lies upon, such as a plank, or to simply tie the model separately from the surface and allow the surface to merely act as a gorgeous background for the photograph.  The model tends to have a lot more things to play with in a hog tie, as she can arch back and try to untie her feet (in vain, of course – this is Uncle M’s ties we are talking about here), or merely lazily pick at the knots at her wrists.  There is also a lot more room for struggling, which always seem to make the photographer happy.  After all, even though I, and many other models for Pinup Bondage, are happy to just be tied up and stay still, the struggle must happen for those who are not present at the photo shoots to believe the bondage is real.

The Hogtie

Ahh...the hogtie, my favorite.  One extra length of rope bringing ankles up to wrists changes things dramatically.  Just think of it, wrists bound tightly behind your back and ankles securely lashed together.  Left like that, even with ankles crossed, there is nothing to stop you from hopping, wriggling or worming your way to freedom.  Grab a phone and call for help as an example.  Stand in front of a knife drawer in the kitchen.  You get the idea.

Now try doing any of that while in a good old fashioned hogtie.  Not going to happen.  For many of my models the hogtie is also their favorite position to be tied in.  Anna loves the position and has even written a short essay on the topic.  Enjoy the photos below.  Yes they expand and no they are not linked to my *GASP* pay site.

Rope, Lots of Rope

On more occasions than I can count, my models have exclaimed, "Wow!  That's a lot of rope you have used on me.  How much did you use M?"  What really sends me over the moon and back is the reply I receive after informing said model on the amount of rope I have just cocooned her tightly in.  "That's all!?  What's the record and let's break it!"  Life is grand.

The least amount of rope that I have ever used on a model is a single 50 foot length in what I call my signature hogtie.  The most I have been able to use to date is 300 feet on a spectacular chair tie with Helen as the treat of the day.  I worked very diligently on Helen for a good 90 minutes before she was ready for the camera.  Surprising how fast time flies when rigging up a model.  By the end of the set, if memory serves me correctly, Helen was welded to that chair for 3 hours before she tasted freedom.  Helen told us she was so comfortable in her chair bondage we could simply leave her like that for as long as we wished and we were sorely tempted to do just that.

Below are a couple of photos of Helen in that chair tie for your enjoyment.  These were taken back in our Brandibondage days almost two years ago now.  The hogtie photo is one of my all time favorites and is also of Helen bound using a single 50 foot length of rope.  Notice the difference in style.  Chair tie is DID or damsel in distress.  Hogtie is Pinup style.

Pinup style though much cleaner and simpler looking, is a harder look to achieve actually.  Damsel in distress you just tie the damsel up and go with what ever is in the background.  That is the entire point of DID.  Pinup style makes you think a lot more as the model and the bondage are the complete focus.  Clothing now becomes a big part of the equation as does facial expressions.  A bit more of a challenge but well worth the effort I say.

It was lunch time so we put a plate of sandwiches in front of Helen and told her to fly at it.

How Tight Is Your Bondage?

In a word, very.  I like realism, or to be more accurate, insist on realism in my bondage art and believe me when I say, once my models are tied they stay tied.  Gagging someone effectively is a lot harder than you would think but I do my best on that score as well.

My preferred rope is a very inexpensive 3/8" diameter cotton clothesline I purchase in 200 ' bundles for something under 20 bucks, taxes in.  That works out to 10 cents a foot which makes it very affordable.  I'm not pimping the retailer here, but the only place I can find this particular rope in my city is Dom Depot.  I have found through experimentation over the years that while cotton clothesline will leave delicious rope marks, (the girls proudly sport them btw) they don't last long and I have never had an issue with burns of any sort which is not the case with some other types of rope.

I also find this type of rope soft and flexible enough that I can use lots of it (up to 200' + on a single tie), the slack can easily be pulled right out of the bondage making things very secure and a nice tight knot can be had.  A knot so tight in fact that if you are not careful will require safety scissors to cut off.  No slack what so ever and a tight out of reach knot holding everything in place makes for a lovely bondage experience indeed.

If there is a drawback to using cotton clothesline, it's when it comes to suspension.  Not at all suitable as it will not only stretch, but being so thin can cut right into the models flesh.  You can find some examples in my gallery of suspension bondage using the cotton rope true.  However of all the rope choices out there for suspension, I would put cotton clothesline one step above twine.  In fact, if suspension is your thing, do yourself a favor and take lessons.

When I rig a model, neatness is paramount.  Neat and careful rigging looks as tight as it is.  Sloppy work with crossed ropes, loose ends etc. even though tight, just has that loose look about it.  Amateurish as opposed to deliciously devilish and deviously professional.  Part of the appeal of being tied up is the attention given to the person on the receiving end.  To a woman it's the journey, to a man it's the destination and that is where and how things get screwed up.

I'm going somewhere here folks and this is important.  Bondage, to a woman is all about being tied up and lusted after.  Don't you dare touch her, especially in her private regions, once she is bound and helpless.  She is where she wants to be.  For a man, bondage is a means to an end, the end being sex.  Not what the lady wants thank you very much.  Think on that.

Meeting a Bondage Models Mom

Sorry about being absent from the blog thing for the past couple of days, I was busy with bondage business and stuff.  We are putting together a Pinup Bondage event for November 26th, details to follow, which is keeping Gem and I occupied.  My good friend Jennifer had a birthday bash last Thursday which was a barrel of kinky fun.  Wardrobe business with Sisi on Friday and we are moving ahead very nicely on building a first class selection of clothing for our models. And last but not least, my wife was off from work Thursday and Friday and I couldn't get near the computer to blog even if I did have the time.

Now, what's all this about meeting a bondage models mom eh?  Lets make a few things clear here right off the bat.  I'm not referred to as "Uncle" for no reason.  Sounds better than "Dad" and way better than "dirty old man" as most of these attractive women that model for me are young enough to be my daughters.  The bondage aside, I treat each and every one of these young ladies as I would my own daughter or niece.  I've become a bit of a father figure to some of them in fact, which is a role I cherish.

I have met the mothers of two of my models in the past year (I will not say which models) and found them both to be lively conventionalist's, full of life and very, very proud of their daughters.  To be given the opportunity to even meet with a models mommy, let alone spend time with them especially after being introduced as, "Mom, this is Uncle M, the man that ties me up." brings a tear to my eye.  A word of advise fellas.  If this ever happens to you, make damn sure you look mom square in the eyes and as the commercial says, never, ever let her see you sweat.  Try not to stammer either.

My first mommy encounter was at a photo shoot if you can believe it.  I was shooting a dark haired bendy model and her friend on the same day Miss dark haired model mom was in, visiting from out of town.  "Would it be OK if mom came along and watched the photo shoot?"  Hard to say no and I didn't.  The morning of the shoot I picked up my model, her friend that was going to model along side her and of course mom.  It was a good 45 minute drive to the shoot location so we all had our favorite caffeine fixes along with us for the ride.  So far so good.

Along the way I was playing tour guide and as I pointing out landmarks, the young friend of bendy model suddenly asked what high school I went to as a kid and when did I graduate.  I saw no reason to withhold that information, so I told her.  Turns out I went to school with her mom.  Oh dear.  My tea latte dribbled down my chin and landed on my lap at that bit of news. It gets better.  It was at that point that mom called me a pervert.  She had me cold.  Not a leg to stand on.  I had a look in the rear view mirror and caught miss bendy smirking, throughly enjoying my discomfort and wondering aloud how I was going to deal with that stain on my pants.   

Once we all got settled in at location (this was an all day shoot) things went very smoothly indeed.  Mom fit right in, nestled into the couch and spent some quality time with her daughter.  All in all a lot of fun.  Mom and a few other family members received framed prints from the shoot for Christmas that year from a loving daughter.

Moral of the story, keep your nose clean, be honest and the rest takes care of itself.

Pinup Bondage Builds a Wardrobe

I've been around the block a few times in my life and if there is one thing I have learned, it's honesty is the best policy.  Easier on the brain too as you don't have to remember what lies you've told.  So here comes some honesty.  This entire blog thing is a pimp job and any blogger that says otherwise is full of poo.  At heart we are all attention whores and I know of not one single person that blogs, posts, owns a website or what ever that does not bring up the number of hits or followers he or she gets.  Yah, I want your love, admiration, attention and some of your money.  Alrighty then....

Sisi came onto the scene with Uncle M Productions just over a year ago and brought a tremendous amount to the table.  Up until Sisi, our models were digging through closets to find something stunning and suitable to wear to a shoot.  We were hunting for clothing at second hand stores for anything that would give us that pinup retro look.  I ended up buying costumes from a rental shop which are now in the bottom of one of my rope bags.

Sisi has been involved in some fashion on just about all of our shoots in the past 12 months.  We were doing shoots on average twice a month and there was Sisi either as a model or fashion consultant with a suitcase full of her custom clothing.  The erotic bondage art we now create, in the opinion of many, is world class.  So good we have been invited to enter select pieces in art competitions.  Pimp,pimp,pimp,pimp.

In the real world Sisi is self employed and does not work for Uncle M Productions.  She has a rich, full and very busy life, as we all do, and it is not practical or realistic to expect to have Sisi at each and every shoot.  In a recent conversation with my photographer, we discussed the fact that we cannot go back to the days of "closet clothes."  We didn't want to burn Sisi out either.  The time has come in our evolution to start building Uncle M's very own fetish wardrobe.  Suzee666, being our preferred clothier, with few exceptions, is our exclusive provider.  FYI, Uncle M Productions purchases from Suzee666.  Freebies is no way to conduct business.

What have I in the wardrobe to date?  I snapped up the red corset and skirt featured in our Steam Punk series along with one of the cream corsets and a black waist cincher.  One piece a month will give us quite a collection in a very short time indeed.

Events on the Horizon

Starting in mid October to the end of December, my little posse of models and I are busy with things other than photo shoots.  Thanksgiving, Halloween, and then before you know it, Christmas.  Life gets hectic and we do not do photo shoots for the sake of a photo shoot to fill up an empty space on our website.  This time last year I sat down and planned out the entire year photo shoot wise, in as much detail as I could, knowing how busy we get with life every fall.

However, this is the first year since our inception that Uncle M Productions is in a position to go out and do a little shameless pimping.  We have worked damn hard on our Pinup style of erotic bondage and have been able to produce not one, but two very classy bondage coffee table books.  Sisi of Suzee666 Fashionable Fetish Clothing  has worked her backside off for us in creating some very special clothing indeed.  Of particular note are those cream waist cinchers and corsets Sisi made for our Steampunk series.  A pretty hot item down at her retail outlet and I've bought two for the company myself.

Our newest model Gem, is working with Uncle M in organizing an event in her little shop of kinkiness in the latter part of November.  The evening of Friday the 26th is the tentative date to be confirmed.  Yours truly will be front and center showing the crowd how I rig my models for a photo shoot. (Yes, there will be a real live model there for me to demonstrate on)  Our photographer will be there to answer questions and give insight on the photography aspect of our art.  Sisi will be in attendance with a collection of her fabulous apparel.  If I can persuade them, and I don't see why I cannot, a few of my models that have done work for Pinup will grace us with their presence to answer questions.  Who knows, even sign autographs.
